Just in case…

Emma and Tom (Father of the Bride)
Tom has a strange fascination with Bears. We don’t know why. Emma, Tom’s partner is equally confused but doesn’t seem phased. They don’t know we’ve written this… Well, they probably do now.

Jim and Kath (Phil’s parents)
Yes, you have these two to thank for the Groom. A handsome, impressive and entirely humble man. Phil a big kid really, and not afraid to show it.
Among other things like kindness, respect and humility, they taught him (nearly) everything he knows about camping and bikes… Nearly.
Bridesmaids

Penny
Katie and Penny worked in Widening Participation (WP) together c.2012. After an initial misunderstanding on why Katie had been hired, it turned out they had #1 energy in common and a mutual love of cats.

Becky
Katie and Becky met on a WP night out while Katie was working in Careers. Over the years they’ve shared hiking adventures, pushed each other to accomplish running goals and will get together to discuss HE policy no matter how often they say they won’t talk about work…

Pip
Has known Katie since secondary school and shared many escapades including German exchange trips, taking cuddly toy fish to Stratford and the Somme, and that one night in Leicester at Fan Club…
Groomsmen

Chris (Phil’s Best Man)
Phil met Chris in halls at university. Chris was discovered sitting in the communal kitchen with a pack of beer, patiently waiting for other roommates to join him. It wasn’t until nearly two weeks later that the resident flatmates realised that Chris didn’t actually live with them. He was from across the hall. He got bored of his flatmates so went in search for better things… And found Phil. The rest is history!

Chris (Master of Ceremonies)
Phil met Chris in secondary school. After school one evening, Phil found Chris in a DT classroom engaged in conversation with a piece of scrap wood. They share a lot in common (Phil occasionally speaks to planks of wood too) but for much of their youth they have fond memories of beating each other up at Kung Fu. To date, it’s well acknowledged that Phil maintains the record.

Ste (Technical Director)
Phil also met Ste in secondary school. Ste was the guy who sorts you pirate CDs for £5 – £3 for mates! He likes computer games and in their youth, Phil and Ste finished many cans of Fosters at Ste’s desk, playing games and planning trips to Bulgaria! He’s always been a bit techy, so if the sounds fails or the power cuts… Look to Ste.
Other people we’d like to highlight

Paul (Celebrant and our friend)
Phil met Paul when he began working in Nottingham nearly ten years ago. They share an interest in business, beers and business. And beer. Paul can be trusted for sound advice and good company.

Ashley
Ashely is a private chef and event caterer with over 30-years experience. A former fine-dining chef, Ashley diversified during lockdown and now enjoys catering private events…
Don’t piss him off. He’s cooking the food!

Bertie
This is Bertie. Also known as Mr Fluff (at least that’s what Phil calls him). He’s ace, well loved and admired by all… But the big wide world is too much for smooth brains, so he stays at home.
For more Bertie love, follow him on Instagram!
And finally…

Katie and Phil 😀
Katie and Phil met at work, unlike most of their friends who met online, Phil spied Katie in a meeting. One thing led to another and before they knew it, Phil was sweeping Katie off her feet! Yes, Phil occasionally picks people up for fun. Katie was surprised. Phil thought it was charming. It seemed to work 🙂
